The founding board
Three co-founders, and around a hundred years of collective experience between them.
The Board governs the Forum and carries its decisions. Its members bring backgrounds in data governance, open technologies, research, health management, IT development, policy and implementation.

Stuart Mackintosh
Co-Founder | Secretary
Business and technology executive, France
Thirty years building open source health infrastructure from the ground up. Has distributed European Commission resource to open source health organisations across Europe. DHCF was not born from a policy paper - it was born from direct experience of a system that failed the people it was meant to serve.

Jaana Sinipuro
Co-Founder | Treasurer
Executive visionary in data-driven healthcare ecosystems, Finland
Brings the Nordic model of digital health sovereignty - where citizen data ownership is assumed, not aspirational - to DHCF's European architecture.

Bert Verdonck
Co-Founder | President
Data governance leader, Luxembourg
Has spent a career designing the interoperability standards that allow health systems to speak across borders. The structural architecture of DHCF's governance framework is his.
The Board convenes the Advisory Community, a standing circle of counsel that sits alongside it, and decides every invitation to it.
